The Inception

The Sports Betting Project
This project creates a unique environment for competition in the realm of sports betting. Competition is certainly something that we are all fond of and enjoy taking part in.

The basic idea of this project is to see how a few everyday sports fans fair in the world of sports betting. Each member has there own characteristics. Some of us are bigger fans of certain sports and some are bigger fans of gambling in general. The beta testing stage of Round 1 with consist of 3 players. Additional players will be allowed to join after Round1 beta testing is completed.

These are the proposed rules:

Original Round 1 Participants:

* Bwood
* Laffin

Round 1 Rules:

1. Start with $50.00.
2. Must use Bodog’s lines for the sake of conformity.
3. Can only bet on sports. No other means of gambling such as poker or blackjack.
4. Round 1 is 4 weeks long; you must make at least 5 wagers to qualify to win the round.
5. Each bet must be at least $5.00 to count towards the 5 bet minimum.
6. Bets under $5.00 are allowed but will not count toward the rounds minimum. (This enables for small wager parlays, teasers and sweethearts, etc.)
7. Futures bets can be made. The resulting win/lose will count in the Round in which the win/lose is determined. (For example, if you bet on the Jaguars to win the Super Bowl in August you will not have a potential win until February.)
8. Round 1 ends August 31st.
9. Round 2 begins September 1st
10. You may deposit an additional $50 at the beginning of a new round.

The goal is to obtain the highest return on the initial $50 investment and beat out the other players in the round.
